Every project starts with a real site survey — structure, plumbing, ventilation, electrical panel. South Shore homes built between 1955 and 1985 almost always hide something: an out-of-level floor in Saint-Lambert, a saturated panel in Longueuil, a range hood that was never actually vented in Brossard. We deal with those before we order cabinets.

Cabinetry is built in a Québec shop, never pulled off a big-box catalog. White oak, walnut, premium melamine, lacquer — we fit the material to the budget and the house, not the other way around. Appliances are selected up front so alcoves, ventilation and electrical are designed around them, not patched at the end.

How long will my kitchen be unusable?
Typically 5 to 8 weeks. We set up a temporary kitchen (sink, fridge, microwave) in the basement or an adjacent room when the layout allows.
Do I need a permit to renovate a kitchen on the South Shore?
Yes as soon as plumbing, electrical or a wall is touched — which covers 95% of renovations. We file the application, produce the drawings and handle inspections.
Can we keep the existing cabinet boxes and just replace the doors?
Technically yes, and it's sometimes the right call. We decline when the boxes aren't square or the layout is wrong — you'd end up with a nice face on a bad kitchen.
What's the best month to start a kitchen renovation?
February to April when possible. Cabinet and countertop lead times are shorter, and summer slots are usually held for new builds and additions.
